I’m Lucy, an equine chiropractor with a passion for keeping horses moving, performing, and feeling their best.

My background in chiropractic spans over a decade, underpinned by a five-year Master of Chiropractic (MChiro) degree alongside specialist equine chiropractic training accredited by the International Association of Veterinary Chiropractors (IAVC).

I work with horses of all disciplines and ages — from elite competition horses to much-loved hacks — addressing musculoskeletal restrictions that can affect movement quality, performance, behaviour, and general comfort.

Treatment combines targeted chiropractic adjustments to restore joint mobility throughout the spine with soft tissue work and massage, supporting your horse’s ability to move freely and work in balance.

I’m based in Pewsey, Wiltshire, and cover the surrounding area.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Why Saddle Fit is Non-Negotiable for Your Horse’s Health and Performance… A poorly fitting saddle is one of the most common — and most overlooked — causes of back pain, poor performance, and behavioural problems in horses. Yet it’s often the last thing owners consider when something isn’t quite right. The saddle sits directly over the muscles of the back and the thoracic spine. When it doesn’t fit correctly, pressure is distributed unevenly across the soft tissue, restricting muscle engagement, altering movement patterns, and causing the horse to compensate through the neck, hindquarters, and limbs. Over time, this creates muscular asymmetry, joint restriction, and chronic tension throughout the entire topline. The impact on movement is significant. A horse working under an ill-fitting saddle cannot fully use its back. You may notice shortened stride, resistance to lateral work, reluctance to go forward, difficulty with transitions, or a horse that feels tight and disconnected rather than swinging through freely. This is why saddle fit and chiropractic care must work together. Adjusting a horse that continues to work in a poorly fitting saddle is like treating a repetitive strain injury without removing the cause — progress will always be limited. Equally, correcting saddle fit on a horse with established joint restriction and muscle dysfunction will not resolve the compensation patterns that have built up over time. Both need addressing, together, for lasting results. If your horse’s movement, behaviour, or performance has changed, saddle fit should always be part of the conversation.
